How It Works – Security
Our Highest Priority is Safety and Security
Protecting your account is critical to us at AfterSteps. We understand that there may be some questions and even concerns in regards to your personal information, how it will be used and who will be able to access it. If your questions are concerning our company’s Privacy Policy, please feel free to look over the information provided at www.AfterSteps.com/privacy.
In this article, we will discuss some frequently asked questions about AfterSteps and our customer%u2019s security. If you have additional questions that were not addressed in this article, please do not hesitate to Contact Us.
Q: How is the Information Encrypted?
A: The 256-bit encryption that is used by banks and the U.S. Government is what we use at AfterSteps. All data is protected as well as validated by Comodo, and at AfterSteps we use SSL encryption.
Q: Who Will Be Able to Access My Account?
A: On the AfterSteps platform you can designate as many as three verifiers, they will be able to access the account creator’s information. However, this is only possible after two of the verifiers have confirmed his or her passing. In the beginning, the verifiers will each have their separate accounts; here they will only be able to view the minimum amount of necessary information, for example, your power of attorney, advance directive and your wishes in regards to organ donation. Once it has been confirmed that the account creator has passed, verifiers will then be able to access the additional information.
Q: Does a Verifier Account Have an Additional Cost?
A: Not at all, all three verified accounts have already been included in your paid account. That being said, if verifiers wish to use AfterSteps to save their personal documents, they must purchase their accounts.
Q: If I Have Further Questions, Who Could I Contact?
It would be our pleasure to chat with you about our platform as well as provide detailed descriptions of our security. IF you are in need of more help, please feel free to email us here.
